WHO AM I?
My name is Brittney. I am a stay at home mom with two incredible children who both have two entirely different taste palates. One who loves eating meat and the other one who loves vegetables. Which makes my work for cooking dinner majority of the time fairly easy. My loving husband inspires me to be a better cook. I love to hear his feedback on the outcome of something I experiment in making or simply adding my own personal touch to a recipe. I love using fresh ingredients, organic when possible, and I like to experiment with different tastes and textures.
My way of life is to live freely, laugh, love and to eat well. Living freely is to live life without being so serious all the time. Being able to enjoy all the beautiful things that surrounds us everyday. That being able to drink a hot cup of coffee on a warm sunday morning, soaking up all the warmth from the sun. Or simply being able to watch your family enjoy their favorite meal that you cooked for dinner. Life is so simple and beautiful if you allow yourself to get rid all the negative things that weigh us down and make change to the things that don’t do us any good. Life is too short to be angry all the time. Being able to find that happiness in life brings a longer and healthier life.
My love for cooking didn’t happen overnight. It happened when I became pregnant with my first child. I have somewhat been a healthy eater, watching my intake on the foods I ate throughout my high school and college days. Becoming pregnant made me want to be able to provide my child with all natural and organic foods. I than began to watch more and more food channels like the Food Network Channel. I started reading cookbooks and food magazines. I even used google to search the web for healthy but tasty meals. I than started experimenting in the kitchen just putting random things together. Within weeks I started realizing how much I really enjoy cooking and what pleasures it brings me. In all of my experiments and studies, I finally found one of my passions in creating healthy savory sweet dishes for my family and friends to enjoy.
